Sue Ransley paints with oils, watercolours and mixed media in her artistic practice, often capturing the charm and cheek of everyday folk she sees out and about. She aims to capture a person’s individuality and quirks, creating a sense of familiarity in what makes us human. Sue looks to capture the moment, whether it’s something that has caught her eye or made her smile. Her paintings take on a playful approach to depict the true essence of the situation she paints.
Two of Sue’s works were shortlisted for The Royal West of England Academy Open in 2018, and she has previously been shortlisted for the National Open Art Competition. She has exhibited her work nationwide, including local Surrey Artist Open Studios, and on an international scale, including Italy and Australia.
