Justin Ronberg

Australia

Artist Justin Ronberg paints to recount native Aboriginal stories and visions from the Australian landscape. Whilst his mother was a stolen generation child, Ronberg uses his interest in the arts to reconnect with his Aboriginal roots, and promote his cultural heritage. His works are therefore often heavily laden with traditional symbols, signs and stories. The resounding melodic quality of the work signifies the inspiration he draws from the spiritual sounds of the didgeridoo, particularly when played by the older generations in the Top End of the Northern Territory where he grew up.
