Ann began painting when she qualified as a decorator, going on to teach decorating and paint effects at Guildford College. After teaching, she started a successful interior design business, which resulted in Ann completing paintings for existing clients, and inspired her to paint more and more pictures. A feature of her work has always been, and remains, the exciting use of texture and colour. She takes inspiration from both past and recent trends, as well as her natural environment.
